I first saw these as I was looking to replace my Leica Geovid LRF’s because, while the glass was fantastic, the range-finding capabilities were not even on par with my buddies $400 Bushnell 1200 ARC. When I saw the price I thought they must be some cheap Chinese knock-offs but figured I’d call and get a little more information. I was shocked to find not only an American company but high quality Japanese glass and a military grade laser!
So I ordered a pair and took them to the hills to test them out…they’re a little on the heavy side but the glass is crisp and clear, nearly as good the Leica’s. But more importantly for me the rangefinder was by far the best I’ve used. I was getting 1,900+ yard readings off of the cheat grass and the readings were instant. No more click and hold steady while you wait to get a reading. As soon as you hit the button the reading pops up, regardless of whether your at 50 yards or 1,500 yards.
